During Singapore’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2018, ASEAN made progress towards deepening integration as the ASEAN Economic Community, which was established in 2015. While some of the commitments have been met, many remain work-in-progress. MTI will be conducting a special briefing for AmCham members on the progress made under the economic pillar in 2018, and how businesses in Singapore can benefit and grow, despite the challenges posed by trade protectionism and tariffs.
