The Coca-Cola Company
Iain McLaughlin is President of The Coca-Cola Company’s ASEAN business unit. In this role, he oversees company operations in 10 countries. Prior to this assignment, he was Senior Vice President of Global Juice and Still Brands, based in Atlanta, and before that, President of the Middle East and Southern Eurasia business unit based in Dubai.
McLaughlin joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1998 as a Strategic Planning Manager for the Central Europe Division. He was then named Executive Assistant to the President of the Central Europe, Eurasia and Middle East Group before serving as Vice President of Europe, Eurasia, the Middle East and Africa for the McDonald's Division.
From 2006 to 2008, McLaughlin led the Still Beverages business in the European Union Group.
Before joining the company, McLaughlin worked with DIAGEO plc in the United Kingdom, Japan, South East Asia and the United States.
McLaughlin has a Bachelor's degree from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
Dr. Hsien Hsien Lei
Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs, Asia Pacific
Dr. Hsien Hsien Lei is Vice President Medical and Scientific Affairs, Asia Pacific (APAC). She oversees APAC medical affairs, clinical research activities, training & education, and value-based healthcare (VBHC), which includes health policy and reimbursement. Hsien is also responsible for communicating Medtronic’s medical and scientific value proposition in a balanced and evidence-based manner to drive the company’s medical, scientific, and clinical leadership in the region.
Hsien represents APAC on the Medtronic Global VBHC Council and is chair of the APAC VBHC Council. Together with council members, she has developed a strategy that addresses core components needed to execute VBHC programs in the region. At the ecosystem level, Hsien has led engagements with key stakeholders to help shape an enabling environment for VBHC. At the program level, she has worked closely with the business groups to evaluate and adapt VBHC programs for implementation in APAC.
Hsien’s career has spanned the scientific, clinical, and commercial sides of healthcare with experiences that include bench research, epidemiological and biostatistical data analyses and modeling, pharmacy clerkship, business development, and scientific, medical, and healthcare communications. Prior to Medtronic, Hsien was the general manager of Ogilvy CommonHealth Asia Pacific where she helped clients in pharma, medtech, and public sectors deliver regional integrated healthcare communication programs that encompassed medical education, public relations, advertising and promotion, and digital. In addition, Hsien is an elected member of the American Chamber of Commerce Singapore Board of Governors.
Hsien has lived and worked in the US, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, UK, and is now based in Singapore. She holds a PhD in Epidemiology from The Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health where she was the recipient of a US National Institutes of Health Cardiovascular Disease Epidemiology Training Grant. Her doctoral thesis explored the genetic epidemiology of end-stage renal disease and diabetes. She completed her post-doctoral fellowship at National Taiwan University Hospital in the Department of Endocrinology. Hsien also holds a BA (with honors) in Human Biology from Stanford University.
Dom is a single daddy, a former infantry leader of U.S. Marines, and a passionate brand marketer who believes the world would be a much better place if more women were in charge.
Dom is currently the Regional Sector Leader for Adult and Feminine Care at Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific, where he serves the brand mission of Kotex to champion the progress of women around the world, and of Depend to help restore dignity to those who suffer from incontinence.
Dom has over a dozen years of global brand building and business leadership experience, including a decade-long stint at Procter & Gamble where he worked on Pampers, Duracell and other well-known brands, and as Chief Marketing Officer for Circuit of The Americas, host of the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix. As a leader, he is committed to building high performance teams that champion consumer-inspired innovation and consumer-centric brand stories.
Dom earned his MBA from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and his Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering from The United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He currently lives in Singapore.
