Dr Rebecca Giess
Clinical Psychologist
Promises Pte Ltd

Dr. Rebecca Giess is a Clinical Psychologist from Brisbane, Australia. She holds a Doctorate of Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in the field of Psychology (Honours I) at The University of Queensland, Australia. She has a general registration and clinical endorsement with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).

Dr. Giess has experience working with a variety of presenting difficulties, including depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, anxiety, stress, and relationship difficulties, across the life span. In particular, she has experience working with severe and chronic adult mental and physical health issues, both inpatient and community settings in the public sector. In addition, Dr. Giess has experience as a school counsellor working with local and international students aged 10-18-years at a private school in Australia.

Dr. Giess delivers evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema- Focused Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). She has training and experience in delivery of programs, including DBT program for Borderline Personality Disorder, individual and group CBT for Psychosis, CBT-based groups for depression, anxiety and stress, ACT/Mindfulness groups, and Positive Parenting Programs (Triple P for Teens, Babies and Standard Stepping Stones).

Dr. Giess completed her Doctorate thesis in intercultural couple relationships and relationship satisfaction, and is trained in couple relationship counselling such as Emotion-Focused Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioural therapy approaches. She also has experience in conducting comprehensive cognitive assessments with multifaceted presentations, including intelligence testing, learning disorders, memory and attention difficulties, and personality.

Alice Harkness
Mercer Marsh Benefits

Alice Harkness is a Principal for Mercer Marsh Benefits in Asia with over 10 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry, in both the UK and Singapore.

She is part of the regional consulting team covering employee health and benefits for Asia; managing regional client accounts and projects as well as supporting on developing new approaches to address emerging trends. This includes how we can support companies in supporting wellness in their work force, with a particular focus on addressing mental health issues.
  She has been with Mercer for 2 years, starting as the strategic development manager for the growth markets region; responsible for defining and executing our health strategy.

She started her career at the Financial Services Authority, in the UK where she was responsible for regulating emerging market banks, developing her interest in Asian markets. For the last 5 years however she has been in strategic planning and operational roles within the general & health insurance industry at both AIG and Lloyd’s of London (Asia). At AIG she supported the UK Head of Consumer in multiple facets, including governance, M&A and Business transformation. At Lloyd’s in Singapore she was responsible for operations, overseeing the combining of back office functions for a number of Lloyd’s managing agents in Asia.

Alice graduated from the University of Warwick with a BSc in Economics, Politics and international studies.

She also holds the Certificate in Insurance for the Chartered Insurance Institute and is Prince 2 (project management) certified.

Dr. Snehal Patel, MD, ESQ.
CEO & Co-Founder

Dr. Snehal Patel M.D. J.D., CEO and co-founder of MyDoc, is a former Harvard Medical School clinical fellow and the first person to graduate from Columbia University with a double degree in medicine and juris law. Ten years ago, Snehal was offered a Fulbright scholarship to study the differences between health economics in the US and Singapore. He moved to Singapore to run a private equity fund for a multibillion dollar family office and led an investment team funding assets in primary care in Southeast Asia.

In 2012, Dr. Snehal founded MyDoc with Singaporean physician and MedTech entrepreneur Dr. Vas Metupalle. Since then, they have been simplifying the primary healthcare system to deliver better health outcomes at lower costs.

Nawal Roy
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Nawal Roy is founder and CEO of Holmusk – a global digital health and Data analytic platform. He is also co-founder of Galen Growth Asia and Board of director of HearX Group – a leading healthcare startup in South Africa. He has deep operating experience in North America, Asia, Middle East, Europe and South Africa in financial and healthcare sector. He has significant P&L and operations experience, coupled with 10 plus in top-tier consulting with C- suite   globally. Nawal is member of Steering Committee for Valuebased Health Care at World Economic Forum.

Before Holmusk, he was founder and CEO of fintech ventures at Rocket Internet. Before that he was a Junior Partner at McKinsey& Company Singapore office. He has been deeply involved in financial, energy and technology sectors across North America, Europe, South East Asia, India, China, Middle East & South Africa. He has significant experience across a breadth of functions such as strategy, corporate finance and operations. Before joining McKinsey, he was managing partner of Shobhit Capital Group, an independent advisory and capital investment firm in New York.

Before Shobhit Capital, Mr. Roy was a Vice President in Moody’s Investor Services covering Financial Institutions globally. Before Moody's, Nawal was at KPMG Capital Markets Practice in New York City. Prior to consulting at KPMG, he has worked as trading strategist and global risk manager at Credit Suisse First Boston and Deutsche Bank.

Nawal has been actively supporting and mentoring social entrepreneurs in USA, Singapore and India. He is an Advisor and Mentor for Singapore International Foundation's Young Social Entrepreneur (YSE) program.

Nawal is one of the Founders of PRMIA, an international global association with members in more than 100 countries.  He has Masters Degrees from both the USA (M.A in Economics and M.S in Quantitative Finance) and India (MA in Economics).
