Jeffrey Hardee is Executive Director, Government & Corporate Affairs Asia Pacific, and Singapore Country Manager for Caterpillar. Caterpillar is a diversified company with businesses in construction, mining, energy, transportation and finance. Singapore is its regional headquarters for Asia Pacific.
Prior to Caterpillar, Hardee worked at Dell as Executive Director for Government Affairs Asia Pacific, the Business Software Alliance as Vice President & Regional Director Asia Pacific, and at the Motion Picture Association of America as Vice President Asia Pacific. In all these positions he was based in Singapore. He began his career at the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, serving in the International Trade Administration and later as a commercial officer at the US Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
He is on the AmCham Singapore Board since 2012 and serves as Vice Chair for Advocacy. He is also a Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific Council of American Chambers of Commerce (APCAC) and Board member of the US-ASEAN Business Council. He was appointed by the White House to serve as an Alternate Member for the United States on the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) from 2013 to 2015.
Hardee has a bachelor degree in economics and political science from Duke University and a master of public affairs degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is married and has two adult children.
