As Google’s Director, Public Policy and Government Affairs in Asia Pacific, Ann Lavin’s responsibilities include Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Asian aspiring economies. Working to create the conditions for economic growth and opportunity through the internet she focuses on a range of issues including economic empowerment, content regulation, geopolitics, privacy, and general technology policy.

 

She has spent over a decade living or working in Asia.  Before joining Google, Ann was a Senior Advisor with McLarty Associates, a U.S.-based strategic advisory firm, and Vice President of the US-ASEAN Business Council, the principal US business organization in Southeast Asia.
