Government and Regulatory Agencies

Standards Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING) helps to nurture a pro-business environment through productivity improvement schemes, standardization strategies and national plans. They also have assistance schemes and resources for SMEs. (see Financing)

SPRING, has undertaken a number of initiatives to assist development of local enterprise and SME financing including:

- creation of EnterpriseOne, a business portal for local enterprise, and establishing Enterprise Development Centers (EDCs) - at industry associations: Association of SMEs, Singapore Manufacturers' Federation and Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

EnterpriseOne	Previously known as business.gov.sg, this is a portal for local enterprises. Managed by SPRING Singapore and supported by over 30 government agencies and association, the EnterpriseOne portal offers access to government information and e-services.

Economic Development Board	Gives the lowdown on the different industry sectors in Singapore and advice for investors and businessmen. Also has a section on pertinent facts about Singapore.

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore	Agency in charge of Singapore’s trade development. Useful market and business intelligence and business contacts overseas.

Ministry of Manpower	Employment laws, labour market information. Work permits, employment passes.
Ministry of Trade and Industry	Information on Singapore’s trade environment - Economic surveys, Free Trade Agreements, Trade legislations.
