He will present the findings of the 18
th annual Edelman Trust Barometer, the world’s most robust exploration of trust in business, government, NGOs and media, surveying more than 33,000 respondents in 28 markets, specifically focusing on what the results means for the work of communicators.

About the Speaker

Iain leads Edelman’s Reputation business across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, overseeing 700 professionals across the area of reputation, public affairs and issues management. Iain previously oversaw the six Edelman offices and over 400 staff in Southeast Asia and Australasia.

Before relocating to his current base of Singapore, Iain was the general manager of Edelman’s operations across the Middle East and Africa until June 2013. He was the first employee of Edelman's Middle East operations, and grew the business into what the Middle East PR Association and The Holmes Report named Middle East Agency of the Year.

Iain has extensive experience in the field of government relations, reputation management, market entry, media relations, training and policy development.
 

His client work covers sovereign wealth funds, government strategy, MNCs, sport, technology, property and financial services.

An Australian raised in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and having lived in 10 countries, Iain brings an international outlook to his work.

He joined Edelman in 2006 in our UK operations, his early career was as a taxation and economic development policy specialist, and he was also the Deputy CEO of Tambo Shire Council in Australia.

Iain holds two degrees from the University of Queensland in economics and government. He sits on the Kaplan School of Management Communications Advisory Panel, and The Institute of Advertising Singapore Board.
