The boundaries between the public, private and social sectors are blurring. Governments turn to business to help solve complex problems and to join large-scale, long-term public-private partnerships. Businesses face demands to “do well by doing good?”, serve the public interest and go beyond just regulatory compliance. Civil society organisations are significantly shifting from campaigning against business and government to working cooperatively with both sectors to combine diverse and innovative resources in new ways to tackle problems and build healthy, stable, vibrant societies. Join Christy Davis and Asia P3 Hub to explore what it means to “get combinatorial” – co-creating innovative solutions which generate shared value for all partners, plus core principles of partnering, building blocks for multi-stakeholder collaboration, the Partnering Cycle, and partnering “enablers and breakers”. This session will be a 3-hour mini bootcamp with light refreshments provided. Spaces are limited, available on a first-come-first-served.

Christy Davis is the head of Asia P3 Hub, an open space for multi-sector collaboration based in Singapore and hosted by World Vision Int’l.
Launched in July 2016, it is an innovative venture which brings together business, government, academia and non-profit organizations to collectively generate innovative market-based development solutions for transformational change in communities across Asia Pacific.  A key focus of Asia P3 Hub is exploring how organizations can use a “combinatorial” approach: pooling existing resources together in new ways which create impactful, sustainable solutions which tackle effects of poverty.

Christy made the jump from corporate to full time humanitarian work at World Vision in March 2011 after working for UNDP immediately following the Asian tsunami, building on previous positions in the public and private sectors.
Private sector experience included 13 years with FedEx covering the Asia Pacific region.

Originally from the US, she has made her home across four countries in Asia Pacific for more than 25 years.
