Synopsis

As one of the world's fastest growing regions in terms of economic growth and development, Southeast Asia is expected to see its power demand rise by more than 80% to 2040. The region that has heavily relied on coal and indigenous gas for power generation historically is increasingly embracing renewables and imported gas via LNG. At the same time, the region faces the challenges in managing the trilemma of the need to provide affordable, reliable and sustainable power.

To kick off 2018, we will be joined by experts from Oxford Economics, Frost & Sullivan, Bloomberg New Energy Finance, who will provide us with an ASEAN long-term outlook, from macro-economic, energy industry and fuel perspectives. The session will cover an overview of the industry as well as how some of the game-changing technologies in the energy sector will transform the Southeast Asian energy market.
