Please join us for a Balestier Series luncheon with SPRING Singapore’s Chief Executive Poon Hong Yuen on November 9.

Hong Yuen will be sharing his views on the challenges and successes of championing Singapore’s SME sector and the opportunities for AmCham member companies to participate in and/or benefit from SPRING (or soon to be Enterprise Singapore)’s many initiatives to develop the future economy.

About the Speaker

Mr. Poon Hong Yuen is the Chief Executive of SPRING Singapore, the agency tasked with helping enterprises grow.

He previously served as Deputy Secretary at the Ministry of Law (MinLaw), where he oversaw initiatives to reform legal policies, promote the legal sector, and transform delivery of services.

Prior to MinLaw, he was the Chief Executive Officer of the National Parks Board. Hong Yuen has also held various appointments in organizations across the Public Service, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Economic Development Board and Infocomm Development Authority.

He had also worked as a venture capitalist covering markets in Shanghai and Silicon Valley. Hong Yuen graduated with a Bachelor in Electronic Engineering (First Class Honours) from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, UK, in 1993.
