The next frontier of compute will empower people to build, solve, create and play in a world where the barrier is diminished between the physical and virtual worlds. Virtual technologies hold tremendous potential for the future, but industries have only begun to scratch the surface of what’s possible. Video games have been entertaining us for nearly 30 years, ever since Pong was introduced to arcades in the early 1970s. Computer graphics have become much more sophisticated since then, and game graphics are pushing the barriers of photorealism. Now, researchers and engineers are pulling graphics out of the television screen or computer display and integrating them into real-world environments. This new technology, called augmented reality, blurs the line between what's real and what's computer-generated by enhancing what we see, hear, feel and smell. Intel® innovations are redefining what virtual reality really means — and what you can do in it.
Virtual experiences are bound by only our imagination. New worlds come alive. The speaker will focus on key concepts like Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) & Merged Reality (MR). They are a new frontier for human experiences — and this will not just be a technology upgrade, but instead a disruptor.
