Communications and Information, Gabriel Lim.
Gabriel
will be sharing his views on MCI’s purpose and evolving role, the policy issues
(including cybersecurity) and challenges the private sector faces, and how
private companies can work most effectively with MCI to build the digital
economy.

Gabriel
Lim
Permanent

Ministry
of Communications and Information
Gabriel
was appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Communications and
Information in January 2017.
He
was previously the Chief Executive Officer of the Info-communications Media
Development Authority where he oversaw the establishment of the TechSkills
Accelerator to create better careers for Singaporeans, and preparations for
Singapore’s fourth Mobile Network Operator. Gabriel also oversaw the launch of
PIXEL Studios, Singapore’s first dedicated facility for digital content
creators, in November 2016.
Prior
to his appointment at Info-communications Media Development Authority, Gabriel
was Principal Private Secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, and has
served in the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Health and the Public Service
Division.
Gabriel
graduated from Stanford University’s Sloan Management Program with an M.Sc in
Management under the Lee Kuan Yew scholarship. He also holds an M.Sc in
Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from the
University of Cambridge.
Gabriel serves on the
Board of Directors for the National Healthcare Group, National Research
Foundation and Singapore Innovate Pte Ltd. He is also a member of the
CapitaLand Technology Council.
