We would like to invite you to join us at a presentation and an informal discussion with students from the Singapore Management University (SMU) and the University of Southern California (USC). Led by Prof James Tang, Dean of the SMU School of Social Sciences, and Prof Saori Katada from the School of International Relations at the USC Dornslife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, the students are participating in a course in which they will evaluate the post-pivot US policies towards Southeast Asia and come up with recommendations for future policies for the new foreign policy team. Through learning about US foreign policy towards Asia from American and Asian perspectives and conducting interviews with policymakers in Los Angeles, Washington DC and Singapore, the students will prepare a group policy report. AmCham proudly supports this opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.
The presentation of their policy report will involve 3-4 business leaders along with approximately 30 students from SMU and USC. The students will briefly share their findings and the moderators and audience will have the opportunity to ask important questions.
We hope you can join us.
