TAFEP’s journey began in 2006 when the Tripartite Committee on Employability of Older Workers initiated the setup of TAFEP to address workplace discrimination issues faced by older workers. Since then, TAFEP has extended the scope to workplace discrimination on grounds beyond age, to race, gender, religion, marital status and family responsibilities, or disability. Since 2014, TAFEP has also been championing and driving the adoption of progressive employment practices at the workplace today, with various initiatives such as promoting Work-Life Strategy, Age Management practices, and more recently, the launch of the Human Capital Partnership Programme and the Fair and Progressive Employment Index.
Join us for a session on TAFEP’s newest initiatives, Human Capital Partnership Programme and Fair and Progressive Employment Index. The Human Capital Partnership Programme seeks to bring together a community of employers who are committed to grow their businesses and stay competitive by having progressive employment practices, and developing their human capital while the Fair and Progressive Employment Index is a self-assessment tool developed TAFEP in partnership with NUS, that helps organizations to examine at its own culture and how the policies, practices and employee messaging have an impact on engaging their workforce.
