India is the latest nation to adopt real estate investment trusts (REITs). A China REIT market is on the horizon.
These two economic giants are driving a REIT race that will more than double Asia’s securitised real estate investment universe.
Peter Verwer, CEO of the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association (APREA), will unveil the dynamics of the Asian REIT race. He will describe how REITs are radically transforming to encompass new formats, such as infrastructure, housing, student accommodation, senior living, energy and opco/propco formats.
Finally, he will examine the implications for Singapore, until now, Asia’s most successful REIT marketplace.
