On Tuesday morning, members of the ICT committee toured IO’s state of the art modular data centre infrastructure facility in Singapore. IO operates six state-of-the-art data centres in Arizona, Ohio, New Jersey, Singapore and London. IO employs the latest data centre technology to deliver advanced colocation and cloud services to businesses and governments around the world.

On Friday Morning, the ICT Committee discussed about technology trends over the next 3 years. Managing Vice President of Gartner Technology Bertrand Bidaud presented Gartner’s annual list of top 10 technological trends strategic.

On Monday morning, the ICT committee hosted a tour to Microsoft’s cybercrime center for APAC. The tour included a comprehensive presentation on Microsoft’s latest cybersecurity and cybercrime initiatives and its technology. Participants were also introduced to Microsoft’s latest devices at the office.

On Thursday morning, the ICT and Property committee discussed about the employment of technology for decision making in the commercial real estate sector.The session was led by Deputy Director, Certification and Technology, Singapore Green Building Council Eddy Lau, Vice-President, Business Transformation, Asia Pacific South, Dassault Systèmes Alexandre Parilusyan and Managing Director, Enlighted Sales and Services Zachary Wilson.

The speakers explored the following questions:

1) How organizations are re-thinking sustainability and its relationship to the bottom line.
2) How IoT in buildings today can be leveraged to reduce energy consumption and rental costs while boosting employee comfort and productivity.
3) The Future of IoT: Where is it going?

On Friday evening, Co-chairs and members of the ICT Committee discussed about the direction of the Committee and potential topics for Committee meetings in 2016. Committee members discussed about the latest ICT trends against the alluring backdrop of one of the most picturesque view at the heart of Singapore’s central business district.
