The GRA Committee kicked off the 2015 schedule with a unique panel discussion on Best Practices for Government Affairs in Singapore. Singapore is strategically located in the center of a region of rapidly emerging economies where public policy issues and opportunities abound. Government affairs professionals based in Singapore have typically used the country as an important base to manage their company’s public policy and government engagements in Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific. With its strong and transparent government and civil service, Singapore is viewed as a country with a business-friendly operating environment, and rarely as a country where government affairs professionals need to fight fires or crises. This presents an opportunity and a challenge for the industry.
