Mission: The Committee provides a forum for interaction and advocacy regarding information technology and telecommunications development. ICT Committee also presents several annual educational series that focus on keeping the AmCham Membership current on the latest and still-emerging trends in the industry.
Industry Brief: Singapore’s ICT Industry is recognized across key sectors including financial technology, transport systems management and telecommunications. Financial technology companies have grown in tandem with the established base of world-class banking clientele in Singapore by developing a balanced understanding of the needs of financial institutions. This enables these companies to offer high quality services and innovative financial software solutions.
Likewise, Singapore’s ICT providers have a commanding edge in the development and application of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, mobile communications, global positioning system, smart card, and Internet technologies to meet the needs of airports, sea ports, transport hubs, transport infrastructure operators, and other end users. Advances in mobile communication technology have also played a significant role in the industry's growth. Value-added services such as dynamic advertising, mobile gaming, personalized mobile entertainment, mobile retail services, location-based services, mobile content sharing, mobile contact tracing, and mobile security have revolutionized the mobile experience for customers and helped operators increase their average revenue per user.
