AmCham Corporate Community Day 2008
Singapore’s Largest One-Day, Employee Volunteer Event

  • AmCham is holding the 6th Annual Corporate Community Day on Saturday, November 22, 2008.
  • Corporate Community Day (CCD) is an AmCham initiative in which the Chamber’s member companies undertake volunteer events for local beneficiaries throughout Singapore on the same day.
  • Employees of participating companies do volunteering work with a local charity to help fellow Singaporeans in need.
  • The purpose of CCD is to raise awareness about volunteering in the community.
  • The nearly 900 volunteers on the Day are made up of Singaporeans, Americans, and volunteers of other nationalities who live and work in Singapore.  They are dedicated to helping other Singaporeans and to giving back to the community.
  • It is thanks to this strong and growing community spirit in Singapore that the event is now the largest one-day, employee volunteer event in Singapore.
  • The first Corporate Community Day was held in 2003, with six major companies taking part.
  • This year, we hope to that over 30 organizations and 900 volunteers will be taking part in helping out more than 2,300 beneficiaries.
