About the Speaker

James Hawkins

Executive Director

Performance Marketing, Dentsu Asia

James is responsible for Dentsu’s digital media and Performance Marketing operations across the Asian region. This spans both the mature digital markets of north Asia as well as the emerging markets of ASEAN. Based in Singapore James works in tandem with the 25+ local market Dentsu offices to leverage the potential of digital for the 6000+ clients across the region. James joined Dentsu in 2010.                                                                                                                                                  

Prior to this James set up and ran a multi-award winning independent digital agency (dgm) across SEA & Hong Kong. Arriving in Singapore in early 2007 from London where he first made the transition to ‘new media’ in 2002. James works across Search, Display, Mobile & Social with the constantly evolving space this requires an innovative approach whilst resolute focus on the delivery of results.

James is regularly featured in the industry news, events and workshops always offering a no-nonsense approach to digital topics. 10+ years experience spanning travel, finance, telco and retail verticals for blue chips and rising star companies. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hon’s) degree in International Business and languages from the University of Newcastle Business School, UK.
